Extension is offering a FREE poultry health seminar
Thursday, January 26, 2012
from 6-8 PM at the Prince Edward Extension Office in
Farmville, VA (beside Lowe’s and behind the blue water
tower). This seminar is open to anyone interested in
raising backyard poultry or learning more on the subject.
The featured speaker with be Dr. William Pierson and he will
talk on poultry health, diseases and symptoms. Dr. Pierson
will also have a question and answer session. Dr. Pierson
is the director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital,
Professor of Biosecurity and Infection Control and Clinical
Specialist of Avian Medicine at Virginia Tech.
There
will be a 15 person minimum in order to hold the series so
please pre-register with the Cumberland Extension Office by
calling 804-492-4390 or email Dana Plumley at:
dplumley@vt.edu by January 20th.
