Dave is a 1974 graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.S. degree in Forestry. He was forester and land manager for the R.S. Burruss Estate for 23 years. Dave is currently self employed as a Forestry Consultant in the Central Virginia area, and is working part time for the District as the BMP/Cost Share technician. He and his wife Connie have three grown children and reside near Pamplin in Appomattox County. Dave enjoys hunting and shotgun shooting and is very active with the Appomattox 4-H Shooting Education Program as a volunteer instructor.
